114-1 Undergraduate Students' Application and Selection for Continued On-Campus Dormitory Residency
Dear Students,
The application and selection process for on-campus dormitory residency for undergraduate students in the 114-1 semester is about to begin. Please read the following information carefully:
- Eligibility: Undergraduate students who have not been registered as residents of Taipei City or any of the following 17 districts in New Taipei City—Banqiao, Sanchong, Zhonghe, Yonghe, Xinzhuang, Xindian, Shulin, Yingge, Sanxia, Tamsui, Xizhi, Tucheng, Luzhou, Wugu, Taishan, Shenkeng, or Bali—within the past two years from the application date are eligible to apply. Eligible applicants include:
- Undergraduate students who are not currently residing in an on-campus dormitory.
- Current residents who moved into the dormitory starting in the 113 academic year (excluding short-term residents from Taipei and New Taipei).
- Students on a leave of absence: May apply but must have resumed their studies before moving into the dormitory.
- BOT Prince House residents: Those who secure an on-campus dormitory placement from October onwards and terminate their Prince House lease early must pay a penalty fee equivalent to one month's rent, as stipulated in the BOT Prince House accommodation contract.
- Current on-campus dormitory residents whose accommodation term ends at the end of the 113-2 semester (Student ID numbers: B10, Veterinary Medicine B09, and those in Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Physical Therapy before B08, and Second Degree Bachelor of Science in Nursing before B12).
- Students who have changed their household registration but cannot log into the system should contact the Student Housing Service Division and update their registered address with the Registration Section of the Office of Academic Affairs.
- Application Period: March 24, 2025 (Monday), 10:00 AM – March 31, 2025 (Monday), 12:00 PM (Late applicants may register with the person in charge to be placed at the end of the waitlist).

- Application Options
- Applicants may check the option: "If waitlisted, I agree to be assigned to an off-campus dormitory at Yuantong Dormitory." (Introduction to Yuantong Dormitory: https://management.ntu.edu.tw/en/ia/short_term/summer_program/housing )
- Applicants may select one of the following preferences for waitlist placement in on-campus dormitories: "Main-campus dormitories only," "Downtown-campus dormitories only," "Both (priority: Main-campus)," or "Both (priority: Downtown-campus)." If you do not wish to stay in a specific campus dormitory, please do not include it in your preferences.
- Note: Renovation and construction projects are planned for several dormitories:
- Women’s 4th Dormitory in the Downtown Campus will undergo public space renovations at the end of 114 and will be near new construction from 114 to 116.
- Women’s 6th Dormitory and Men’s 2nd Dormitory will undergo seismic reinforcement projects for one semester each between 114 and 115, requiring temporary relocation to other dormitories. Please consider carefully.
- Note: Renovation and construction projects are planned for several dormitories:
- Current residents of senior-year dormitories may check the option: "If selected for continued residency, I wish to keep my current bed" (excluding students with ID numbers starting with B13).
- Allocation Priority
- Students with disabilities (please upload a Disability Identification Card or Special Education Certificate when applying).
- Low-income students (please upload a government-issued low-income certificate); exempt from accommodation fees but must pay a deposit.
- Middle-low-income families (please upload a government-issued middle-low-income certificate).
- Students from offshore islands and students with indigenous status (When applying, please upload a household registration transcript. Students from offshore islands must upload a household registration transcript for themselves and both parents, issued within the past three months, which must include records of household registration transfers. If the conditions are not met, priority status will be revoked.)
- International students, overseas Chinese students, and Mainland Chinese students (including children International students, overseas Chinese students, and Mainland Chinese students (including children of diplomatic personnel).
- Government-sponsored students.
- Students who have not been registered in Taipei City or any of the following districts in New Taipei City—Banqiao, Sanchong, Zhonghe, Yonghe, Xinzhuang, Xindian, Shulin, Yingge, Sanxia, Tamsui, Xizhi, Tucheng, Luzhou, Wugu, Taishan, Shenkeng, or Bali—within the two years before the application date. For new residents (excluding continuing students), upon check-in, you must present the original copy of your household registry issued within the past three months, including any records of household registration changes. If the conditions are not met, your accommodation eligibility will be canceled.
- Please note: Students with violation records during the academic year shall have their accommodation eligibility moved one position down in the draw ranking (the regulation regarding forced withdrawal from the dormitory remains unchanged).
- Application Results
- The draw results will be announced on the application system and the Student Housing Service Division's website at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.
- Only students selected in the draw are eligible to continue staying in on-campus dormitories for the 114 academic year. The accommodation options are as follows:
- Senior-year dormitory students (excluding B13 students) who selected “Keep the Current Bed” may remain in their current bed.
- Senior-year dormitory students (excluding B13 students) who did not select to keep their current bed may participate in the "Intra-Dormitory Bed Transfer Reservation" from Monday, April 14 to Friday, April 18, to book available spaces for the new academic year with their current dormitory. For further details, please refer to the intra-dormitory transfer announcements of each dormitory.
- Current residents of the Women's 6th Dormitory, which is scheduled for renovation in the 114-1 semester, may register for available spaces in other dormitories through dormitory staff during this stage. Any changes to the renovation schedule will be announced separately.
- Other students should participate in the Dormitory Relocation and Freshman Move-out Process from Monday, April 28, 10:00 AM to Monday, May 5, 5:00 PM. During this period, students will select their dormitory preferences and roommates. Detailed instructions will be announced in early April.
- The waitlist process will continue after the draw results are announced. Waitlisted students who do not receive a dormitory placement by Friday, August 1, 2025, must move out by Saturday, August 9, 2025, and wait for an available dormitory off-campus. The application website allows students to check their waitlist number and replacement status. Waitlist numbers will expire after December 5, 2025.
- Fees

- From 112-2 semester, Executive Yuan will subsidize the accommodation fee of on-campus dormitories for local students. General students receive a subsidy of NT5000 for semester dorm fees, and middle-low/low-income families receive a subsidy of NT7000 for semester dorm fees. The subsidy will be directly deducted from your accommodation fee.
- Waitlisted students who receive a dormitory placement after the semester starts will have their accommodation fees prorated based on the number of weeks stayed, with subsidies adjusted accordingly. The replacement process will continue until December 5, 2025. The application website can be used to check individual waiting list numbers and the status of replacements.
- Information Sessions
The Student Housing Service Division will hold information sessions on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 6:30 PM in the 1st-floor conference room of the Freshman Women’s Dormitory and at 7:45 PM in the 2nd-floor lounge of the Men’s 1st Dormitory. Students are encouraged to attend either session to learn about the eligibility draw for continued dormitory residency, the dormitory relocation draw at the end of April, and summer accommodation regulations in June.
- Application for Prince House
Those who wish to apply for Prince House dormitories, please apply at Prince House's website: https://ntudorm.prince.com.tw from July 15, 2025, to July 25, 2025. On-campus dormitories and Prince House dorms can be applied for and placed on the waiting list simultaneously and independently. However, if you are assigned a bed in both, you must choose only one accommodation.
